Data Engineer(Snowflake/Databricks)

About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer who is not only proficient in development but also capable of consulting with clients on data engineering best practices, architecture, and optimization. This role requires someone who takes initiative, can troubleshoot complex data issues, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Key Responsibilities: • Develop & optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and/or Databricks. • Consult and guide clients on data engineering solutions, performance tuning, and best practices. • Design and implement data models using dimensional modelling and data warehousing fundamentals. • Work with SQL and Python to process large datasets efficiently. • Develop and optimize PySpark-based data transformations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Research and adopt new technologies as needed for project success. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues. • Experience with Azure and/or AWS Cloud. Required Skills & Qualifications: ✅ Strong SQL expertise (query optimization, indexing, analytical queries). ✅Proficient in Python for data engineering (pandas, PySpark, etc.). ✅Experience in at least 2 projects involving Snowflake or Databricks. ✅Hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing. ✅Deep understanding of dimensional modelling & data warehousing fundamentals. ✅Excellent communication skills – ability to consult, present, and document solutions clearly. ✅Ability to work on multiple projects and coordinate with teams. ✅Strong troubleshooting skills – diagnosing and resolving data pipeline issues efficiently. ✅Proactive and self-driven – takes ownership and researches new tech stacks when needed. Nice to Have: • Experience with DBT for data transformation. • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud data solutions. • Exposure to CI/CD for data pipelines.
