Location: Abuja (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications Intern to join our team in Abuja. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with a keen interest in storytelling, impact-driven communications, and corporate messaging. This internship is ideal for current NYSC corps members who are passionate about using communication as a tool for social impact.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in writing and editing communications materials, including newsletters, blog posts, social media copy, video/podcast scripts, press releases, reports, and whitepapers.

Conduct research and background reading to support content development and communications strategies.

Assist in creating and curating content for stakeholder engagement, including donor and partner communications.

Support the execution of communications campaigns and monitor performance.

Help maintain and update the website and social media platforms as needed.

Requirements

NYSC Corps Member (preferred) based in or able to work in Abuja.

Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong grasp of tone, grammar, and structure.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Experience in corporate communications and/or the development space is an advantage.

Interest in sustainable development, impact investing, and/or social innovation.

Availability to work in a hybrid environment (2 days onsite per week at our Abuja office).
