CDI Specialist

1. Knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology, disease process and management 2. Inpatient CDI experience in specialized area (acute care setting) 3. Coding knowledge (ICD-10-CM & PCS, Clinical codes and compliance, DRGs with MCCs, CCs, SOI, ROM, APR-DRG and MSDRG required) 4. AHIMA certification required (CCS credential) 5. ACDIS certification required (CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) and/or CDIP (Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner)) 6. Experience with English grammar/written skills and proper query creation
