BEng Tech (Mechanical Engineering) - Digitisation on-site work

Duties & Responsibilities The candidate will be required to do the following daily (only limited tasks listed): Install, repair, and maintain instrumentation equipment in the underground mine working areas Critically analyse data obtained, develop reporting metrics and reports, solutions, and structures to provide feedback to mine on exceptions/ tasks (continuously under pressure/deadlines) Manage, communicate, and ensure client change management and compliance with feedback provided (mine to act on information provided) Continuous teamwork and engagement with work colleagues, mining operations managers and their subsequent employees Prioritising the work to be conducted correctly Ensure in-house system uptime, reliability and to ultimately value is added to the client from the engineering service provided.(Work will be of operational nature i.e. time dependant) Minimum Requirements Qualifications: BEng Tech (Mechanical Engineering) Mobility: Drivers licence and own vehicle (transport) Experience : No experience needed (deep mine operational, technical, and underground experience will be beneficial) Work type: This position is not based at the Pretoria office. Work will be site based, (technical, analytical and relational) surface and underground (mine) work will be a necessity. Must be willing to relocate Health/Gender: Because of the nature of the work i.e. driving at night to mining shafts, long hours travelling underground conforming to mine schedule, physical work in the mine “stope” area, the candidate must be a male, healthy without any existing medical conditions.
