Backend Developer

We are looking for a GoLang Backend Intern who is eager to work on real-world backend systems, APIs, and scalable services. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in backend development using Go, with working knowledge of databases and a basic understanding of frontend technologies like Next.js being a plus.

This role offers hands-on experience in building production-grade systems and collaborating closely with frontend and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Go (Golang)

Work with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization

Integrate backend services with frontend applications (basic interaction with Next.js apps)

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

Debug, test, and optimize backend performance

Collaborate with team members using Git-based workflows

Assist in deploying and maintaining backend services in development and production environments

Required Skills

Basic to intermediate proficiency in Go (Golang)

Understanding of backend concepts such as REST APIs, HTTP, and authentication

Familiarity with SQL and relational databases

Experience with Git and version control workflows

Preferred / Beneficial Skills

Working experience with PostgreSQL

Basic knowledge of Next.js or modern frontend frameworks

Understanding of system design fundamentals

Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and debugging backend systems
