Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer with 1 4 years of experience to contribute to the qualification of features for a SaaS product hosted on AWS- Data Protection in the cybersecurity domain. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (QE) with 1 4 years of experience in test automation using Python, along with a strong foundation in manual testing and API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python

• Execute manual test cases to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of applications

• Perform thorough API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and define test strategies

• Identify, report, and track bugs using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira)

• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports

• Participate in regular Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)

• 1 4 years of hands-on experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing

• Strong experience in writing automated test scripts in Python

• Proficient in API testing using Postman or Swagger

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Familiarity with bug tracking and test case management tools (e.g., Jira)

• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar

• Familiarity with Pytest, or other testing frameworks

• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Basic understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
