Job Description

The Assistant Lift Engineer (Installation) plays a vital role in supporting the installation and commissioning of lift and elevator systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, this position involves hands-on technical assistance during all phases of the installation process. The role demands a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation of lift systems according to engineering specifications and safety regulations

Support senior engineers and technicians during assembly, wiring, and mechanical setup

Perform routine checks and inspections during different stages of installation

Help in the calibration and alignment of lift components such as doors, motors, and control panels

Follow safety protocols and ensure tools and equipment are used correctly

Read and interpret installation drawings and technical documentation

Maintain accurate records of installation progress and report any issues to supervisors

Support testing and commissioning processes to ensure proper lift function before handover

Coordinate with other site teams to ensure smooth workflow and avoid delays

Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all work complies with company and regulatory standards

Requirements:

Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field

Previous experience or internship in lift/elevator installation is preferred

Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals

Good communication and teamwork skills

Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces

Willingness to follow safety guidelines and work under supervision

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Flexibility to work at various sites as required

Basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation
