Job Requirements Education:Bachelor's degree Work experience:18 months Language skills:English Job Summary Contract Type:Full time Role Purpose The Assistant Flight Operations Engineer supports the Flight Operations Engineer by delivering critical aircraft performance information, managing fuel efficiency programs, and contributing to the development and revision of technical manuals and operational procedures. This role ensures operational efficiency and regulatory compliance in flight operations. Accountability 1. Provide expert technical consultation to other departments on aircraft navigation performance. 2. Maintain up-to-date navigation and communication information in the Flight Planning System for daily operations. Authority 1. Make decisions on risk tolerability regarding safety risks and security threats. Know How 1. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of aircraft performance, navigation systems, and flight operations technology. 2. Management Skills: Ability to manage projects, analyze data, and coordinate with teams. Human Relations Skills: 3. Strong communication, teamwork, and instructional abilities. Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in aeronautical engineering, applied sciences, and regulatory compliance. Problem Solving 1. Qualifications • Education: Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent; CPL/ATC/Flight Dispatchers with relevant experience. • Experience: Minimum 1 year in flight/maintenance operations. • Certifications: Aircraft performance-specific certificate; flight planning software certification is desirable. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Deliver accurate and timely aircraft performance information to flight crews and instructors, essential for safe and efficient flight operations. Provide technical knowledge and support for the procurement, setup, and management of Flight Operations systems, aligning with operational needs and regulations. Manage the fuel efficiency program, focusing on fuel usage and operational processes, critical for cost management and environmental considerations. Lead the evaluation of new and existing aircraft, focusing on compliance with regulatory requirements and operational feasibility, essential for fleet management and operational readiness. Assist in aerodrome suitability reviews and aircraft performance analysis to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with flight safety standards. Supervise the production and revision of technical manuals and operational processes, ensuring access to current and accurate information for flight operations. Diligently track and disseminate information regarding Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other safety notices, maintaining operational safety and compliance. Contribute to key projects affecting Flight Operations, maintaining consistency and accuracy in documentation for operational integrity. Manage navigation and fuel budgets efficiently and support training programs, enhancing operational cost-effectiveness and crew proficiency.
