They may also help with flight information, security, and boarding. Responsibilities Weigh luggage and charge extra for overweight luggage Give flight information and direct passengers to departure gates Deal with issues from delayed, canceled, or missed flights Escort people who require assistance and unaccompanied children Make announcements on the public address system Help passengers with mobility issues Assist unaccompanied children and adolescents Explain boarding procedures and regulations Coordinate with flight attendants and gate staff Respond to passenger inquiries Help passengers find connecting flight gates, customs, or baggage check areas Greet passengers and check their tickets and passports Ask security questions and direct passengers through security Allocate seats and give out boarding cards and luggage tags
