Full job description Job Purpose The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide administrative support to the Directorate Corporate Communication. Minimum Requirements 1-2 year post school qualification; A minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Recommendation A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply. Key Performance Areas Render advisory and administrative support services; Render supply chain management support services; Render budget management support services; Render asset management support services. Competencies Knowledge of the following: Departmental operational systems and procedures (e.g. knowledge of relevant software packages, computer programmes such as LOGIS); Relevant legislation, policies, prescripts and procedures; Public Finance Management Act financial delegations; Financial administration (budget, procurement, SCM); Good corporate governance norms and standards. Skills needed: Proven computer literacy (MS Office); Written and verbal communication; Basic information gathering (research); Financial administration; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
