Accounts Clerk - Weighbridge

Job Description/Requirements

JOB PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for accurately weighing and keeping records of all truck transactions relating to all materials received into the plant and all dispatches out of the plant and ensure compliance with the set weight tolerances, internal controls and safety requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum Requirements:

a. Degree in any business field

b. CPA

c. Diploma in Warehouse/Logistics management is an added advantage.

d. Minimum three (2) years’ experience in a related field

e. Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel

f. Experience working with ERP is an added advantage

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY RESULTS:

Inventory control & Weighbridge operations

a. Preparation and submission of daily weighbridge report while accounting for all tickets generated in e-weigh

b. Verify all documents for consignments to establish genuine before weighing

c. Ensure 100% postings are done through eweigh to SAP and seek approvals for all manual weighing from Plant manager / Inventory Controller.

d. Recording and monitoring the weight of incoming and outgoing vehicles and materials.

e. Ensuring accurate and efficient weighing processes at the weighbridge

f. Collaborating with drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations

Raw material offloading Process

a. Ensure you support 100% sampling of all raw materials at entry.

b. Ensure you support quality raw materials are availed at the intakes with an OTIFEF of >95%

c. Ensure the offloading trucks are clean at all times, physically clean truck before weighing.

d. Report any discrepancies between the invoice/delivery note and the physical tally sheets to the RMPM Supervisor.

e. Collaborate with the Raw material Store assistants to document and report incidences of raw material weight discrepancies noted at the weighbridge

f. Ensure offloading of all raw materials happened in Unga stores within set timelines

Safety Health and Environment (SHE) & Food Safety

a. Actively Participate in 6K, CI, SHE, FSMS/GMP /PaTaMu, activities

b. Identify and report all quality and food safety issues during daily operations

c. Lead safety toolbox meeting with outsourced staff before the start of operations in all areas of work

d. Conduct 6K, CI, SHE, FSMS/GMP /PaTaMu trainings to outsourced/drivers staff within the department
