Job description 2025 Equities Off-Cycle Internship - Global Equity Client Strategy - Mumbai (April Start) Jefferies’ Equities Division is a significant provider of liquidity, execution and underwriting expertise with over 750 Institutional Sales & Trading and Research professionals globally who focus on providing best in class trade execution, ideas and service to our clients. Interns in the Equities Division will acquire the valuable experience in designated team such as Research, Equities Sales, Sales Trading, Electronic Trading, Equity Finance, Facilitation & Execution Trading by working closely with seasoned professionals on assigned projects and tasks. The GECS desk is an extension of the Global Equities COO functions in our regional offices in London, New York and Hong Kong. This desk focuses on improving the firm’s business by helping develop and manage various Equites processes and initiatives. Who can apply? Ambitious and passionate candidates with an interest in finance, investment banking and securing a career at Jefferies should apply. You must have a strong academic record and although a background in finance, economics or accounting is a plus, we will consider applications from candidates who have studied across a variety of disciplines. Candidates who are immediately available are preferred and must be able to commit to a 6-month internship. Applications close at 12:00PM IST on April 11th (Friday). Roles & Responsibilities • Develop & produce numerous Global MIS metrics that focus on improving the firm’s business performance and efficiency. • Analyze and enter numerous Cash Equity vote results received from clients within the firm’s internal vote management system. This exercise is a key measure of the firm’s research service provision across all three regions. • Control ‘Global Research Entitlements’ & Europe-based client’s research MIFID-II agreements for the Equities division. This process involves setting up access rights for clients such that they can receive the firm’s research product. • Work closely with regional teams and prepare client review packs to be used for internal & external client review meetings. • Other ad-hoc tasks and deliverables as directed by EMEA, US & APAC regional teams. Key Skills Understanding of Global Equity Business & Client Management Prior experience in Business Management, Strategy and Consulting functions is preferred. The candidate is expected to work closely with senior managers and assist with developing client profitability strategies.
