
Job Description
What you'll be doing
• Monitoring:
Closely observe database events, such as database availability, instance availability, and storage space utilization.
• Incident Management:
Log, categorize, prioritize, and track incidents reported by users or raised by monitoring tools.
• Problem Solving:
Provide initial troubleshooting and resolutions for common database issues, often utilizing pre-tested scripts or procedures.
• Escalation:
Identify and escalate complex issues to higher-level support engineers (L2, L3) for further investigation and resolution.
• Communication:
Maintain clear communication with users, providing updates on incident status and resolutions.
• Basic Configuration:
May be responsible for tasks like adding datafiles to tablespaces or resolving basic space issues.
Required Skills:
• Understanding of Oracle Database architecture and basic concepts.
• Familiarity with Oracle monitoring tools and procedures.
• Ability to identify and document incidents effectively.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for common database issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
