Responsibilities
Ensure Tax Compliance
Accurately compute, process and remit statutory taxes in accordance with Nigerian Tax laws
Ensure that all monthly tax filings are done correctly and on time to avoid penalties and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
Maintain accurate record of tax filings, payment receipts, supporting documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
Tax Advisory
Provide basic tax advisory services to internal stakeholders.
Stay up to date on tax regulations, Finance Acts, FIRS circulars, and state tax laws.
Process Improvement and Automation
Support initiatives to automate tax reporting and reconciliation to improve efficiency.
Identify areas for process optimization to reduce manual tax computations and increase accuracy.
Tax Audit and Reconciliation
Assist in reconciling tax payments with financial records and ensure that all tax transactions are correctly recorded.
Provide necessary documentation for and report for internal and external audits.
Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with senior tax officers and finance team members to ensure seamless tax operations.
