Project Development Specialist

Job Description

Coordinate with local government units (LGUs), barangays, provinces, landowners, and communities to secure licenses, permits, and support for the project.

Lead cross-functional collaboration with Energy teams (e.g., regulatory, legal, business development, technical, real estate management and corporate communication).

Manage the sourcing, contracting, and oversight of third-party consultants, contractors, and service providers.

Perform research to support project development, including coordinating surveys (topographical, geological, hydrological).

Oversee land acquisition and right-of-way processes with various teams.

Conduct site assessments and visits.

Present findings related to regulatory and technical aspects of assigned projects.

Manage relationships with project stakeholders (e.g., communities, government agencies, LGUs).

Monitor construction progress to ensure it stays on track with the schedule, budget, and contractual commitments.

Handle other project development tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Forestry, Management, Engineering, Real Estate).

Experience in the early stages of power plant development is a plus.

At least 2 years of experience in project development, stakeholder engagement, environmental assessments, permitting, land acquisition, and project management.

Familiar with regulatory compliance.

Proficiency in Google Earth, QGIS, CAD, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.

Strong oral and written English skills.

Willingness to travel occasionally.

Experience in working with LGUs and other government bodies.
