Job Description
Role Summary:
The Project Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations related to specific construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, reporting, and ensuring financial compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor and track project costs, ensuring they stay within budget.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and project status updates.
Coordinate with procurement and site teams to verify expenditures and vendor payments. Manage project cash flows and fund requests.
Maintain proper documentation for all project-related financial transactions. Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and applicable financial regulations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years specifically in project accounting for construction projects.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budget management, and cost control. Proficiency in accounting tools such as Excel, QuickBooks, or similar platforms. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage but not mandatory
