IT Intern

Job Description/Requirements

The role of the IT Intern is to assist and support the IT department in the maintenance of hardware, software and other systems. The intern will participate in the troubleshooting of issues related to IT equipment including printers, computers as well as software applications. Responsibilities for the position include assisting in the identification, research and resolution of user IT issues. The intern will assist with new computer, laptop, tablet and cell phone imaging, configuration, setup and distribution to the users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Support the IT team in the maintenance of computer hardware, software and other systems.

● Troubleshoot issues with IT equipment including printers, computers, tablets, cell phones as well as software applications.

● Research and propose resolutions for IT issues reported by the members of the team.

● Determine the source of computer problems and take appropriate actions.

● Assist in the setup of new users.

● Setup PCs, laptops, tablets and cell phones.

● Image, setup and configure PCs, laptops, tablets and cell phones for users as part of the technology refresh program.

● Perform software and hardware installations and upgrades.

● Assist in documenting commonly occurring issues and fixes.

● Develop and maintain a clean and accurate fixed asset register for the department

● Identify and enforce possible security and data privacy violations.
