Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation is a major advantage

- Proven experience working as an Accounting Supervisor

- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Ability to process large amounts of numerical data

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong management and leadership skills

- Effective communication skills

- Detail-oriented

- A team leader and mentor who can effectively inspire teamwork

- Knowledgeable in government reporting compliance

Job Description:

• Maintain and update accounting records and files

• Analyze budgets and create expense reports

• Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns

• Meet with customers to discuss confidential accounting issues

• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)

• Reconcile bank statements

• Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders

• Conduct month-end and year-end closures

• Prepare documents for audits

• Advise customers on financial issues via e-mail or phone

• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations

• Report to the immediate superior and work to improve financial processes
