About the job
The Communication Theory and Technologies (CT&T) Research Group in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate. The candidate will be under the supervision of CT&T Research Group Director Prof. Dr. Murat Uysal and is expected to carry out cutting-edge research on the physical layer design of wireless communication systems and explore enabling technologies for 6G and beyond wireless networks.
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field. Other requirements include
Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, and wireless communications,
Extensive experience in physical (PHY) layer algorithm design and performance analysis,
Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences,
Strong verbal and written skills in English,
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and capacity to pursue independent research.
Qualifications
In addition to the above qualifications, the applicants should have prior research experience in one or more of the following research topics:
Waveform design for emerging spectrum (FR3, MMW, sub-THz/THz)
Extreme massive MIMO communications
Analog, digital and hybrid beamforming architectures
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces
Machine learning for wireless communications
Hardware-constrained signal processing for wireless communications
Channel modeling and characterization
