Role Description (This is a paid role)
We seek a highly motivated Food Tech Intern to join our dynamic Innovation & Development team. You will be immersed in cross-functional projects, supporting the ideation, prototyping, and implementation of novel food-technology solutions that address real-world challenges. This is a unique opportunity to gain end-to-end exposure from market research and product design to pilot testing and performance analytics while honing your strategic, technical, and stakeholder-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Technology Research: Conduct comprehensive competitive analyses and trend-scouting to identify high-potential food-tech innovations.
Prototype Development: Collaborate with R&D specialists to design and build minimum viable prototypes (MVPs) for food processing, preservation, or packaging solutions.
Data Analytics & Reporting: Aggregate and analyze pilot data, generating actionable insights to optimize product performance and scale-up strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with suppliers, lab partners, and end-users to gather feedback and refine solution roadmaps—ensuring alignment with regulatory and quality standards.
Innovation Workshops: Co-facilitate ideation sessions and hackathons, leveraging design thinking methodologies to fuel creativity and solution iteration.
What We’re Looking For
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated passion for food-tech, sustainability, and process innovation.
Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel and basic familiarity with data-visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into concise presentations.
Proactive, collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguity-driven environments.
Prior lab or pilot-plant experience is a plus.
