Sales Learnership - Pre-Sales Internship (N.B Graduates Living With Disabilities)

We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Presales Engineers to support our software sales team.

Interns will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.

Interns will develop technical solutions to business problems in the Financial Management and Accounting sector.

The role’s primary objective is to help both current and prospective customers conceptualise solutions to business challenges.

The process entails analysing and recording challenges, conceptualising solutions based on the Sage suite of solutions.

The proposed solutions are presented back to customers and stakeholders.

The role will include product demonstrations, as well as building “Proof of Concepts”.

Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with account executives to identify customer needs and propose appropriate software solutions.

Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations tailored to client requirements.

Analyse client business processes and align software capabilities to address business challenges.

Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical documentation requests.

Liaise between the sales and technical teams to ensure smooth transition from presales to post-sales implementation.

Stay current with product developments, competitor offerings, and industry trends.

Assist in developing presales tools, demo environments, and customer use cases.

Provide feedback to product and development teams based on customer interactions.

Working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced sales environment.

Be able to articulate both the Sage Intact and Cloud Native Value Proposition

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Skills, know-how and experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, BCom, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fields of Software and Accounting.

Grade 12 / Matric certificate

Ability to travel as interns are required to visit Business Partners and Customers onsite

Preferred skills

Experience with Software and Accounting.

Technical certifications (e.g. Sage certifications, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified, etc.).
