What You Will Need

Master’s degree in any academic field.

Demonstrated work experience in student development, student advising, internship coordination, career development, and/or study abroad. Record of establishing networks with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., academic faculty, administrators, advisors or other higher education professionals), designing efficient administrative processes, effective interpersonal skills.

Intercultural competency specifically focused on effective communication in diverse cultural situations.

Commitment to advancing the participation of diverse groups, and to removing barriers and creating opportunities for access and success for all students.

Strong technical skills, including ability to administer programming through online data management, surveying, media presentation, spreadsheets and other related software.

Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

What We Would Like You To Have

Experience studying, working, or interning abroad. Proficiency in language besides English.

Prior experience in higher education curriculum development and program integration; career development, undergraduate research and/or experiential learning outcomes.

Experience with budgetary management and financial practices. Experience with managing currency differentials for overseas financial transactions.

Experience in developing experiential education programming, with a particular focus on internships, research, and/or career readiness.

Specific preparation and experience in providing global cross-cultural training.
