Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Identifying market opportunities sales support, analyzing and prioritizing opportunities in the region
Responsible for all sales of the fertilizer products, including registration of the product in Kenya, registration at relevant certification bodies, cooperatives, etc.
Managing our distribution partners
Setting distribution channels for our fertilizers in the region.
Own ultimate responsibility for successful meeting or exceeding sales goals
Setting up and monitoring field trials
Monitor competitors act on price, product and deliver
Marketing, online and offline of our products - so using digital tools, social media, offline events
Coordinating the sales efforts in Uganda and Rwanda, managing the local teams there
Expected to recruit and lead a team of 3 - 5 field agents to conduct sales
Requirements
Bachelors’ degree in Sales & Marketing/ Business administration or a related field
At least 5 years’ experience in either synthetic or organic fertilizer sales. Must have sold fertilizers-either organic or synthetic. Experience selling insect fertilizer highly preferred
Knowledge of agronomy and a network of farmers is a strong plus
Must believe in the power of regenerative farming and organic farming
