Responsibilities
As the Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for performingroutine quality inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance systems, SOPs, and HACCP plans.
Conduct audits (internal and external), inspections, and risk assessments.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Train and mentor QA technicians and production staff on quality standards and procedures.
Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, ISO, BRC, FSSC 22000).
Support product development and validation of new products and packaging.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline.
1–3 years of experience in a QA/QC role, preferably in the food or snack manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations,HACCP, GMP, ISO9001.
Experience with quality management systems and third-party audits
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
Certification in HACCP, PCQI, or ISO standards is an added advantage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Willingness to work shifts or weekends as needed.
Preferred Location:
Applicants who reside or can easily commute within Amuwo Odofin and its environs have an advantage.
