Maintenance Engineer

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on smartcard manufacturing and personalization machines.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals for accurate diagnostics and repair.

Ensure minimal downtime by responding promptly to equipment malfunctions.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency.

Maintain detailed maintenance records and follow up on recurring issues.

Support the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new machinery.

Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures during maintenance activities.

Work shifts as needed to support production schedules and deadlines.

Requirements:

B.Eng. or HND in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, including at least 2–3 years in smartcard or precision electronics manufacturing.

Strong hands-on experience with card manufacturing/personalization machines.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and equipment manuals.

Demonstrated expertise in both preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

Willingness to work in shifts and meet production deadlines.

OEM or industry certifications related to smartcard machinery are a strong advantage.
