Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students in Form 1 to Form 4, adhering to the national curriculum.
Develop and implement stimulating practical experiments to enhance understanding and application of chemistry concepts.
Assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
Prepare students for national examinations (KCSE) in Chemistry, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed.
Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects.
Monitor student attendance and behavior, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
Teaching certification (e.g., PGDE, Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution.
Proven experience teaching Chemistry to secondary school students, preferably Form 1 to Form 4.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of the chemistry curriculum and assessment methods.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
