Junior Quantity Surveyor

A client of ours within the Formwork and Scaffolding sector is looking for a qualified Junior Quantity Surveyor

Duties & Responsibilities

Location:

Johannesburg

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

2-5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying or construction role

Sound understanding of BOQ measurement, cost estimation, and claims processes

Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of measurement software

Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

Valid driver's licence and access to own vehicle

Willingness to engage in both office-based and on-site project activities

Responsibilities:

Measure and compile Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for project works

Collect and organize data to support the preparation of cost reports

Assist in daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth project operations

Support tender process, including administration and handling of enquiries

Conduct measurement of completed works and related items for claim or payment purposes

Prepare accurate payment certificates, particularly for labour-only and domestic subcontractors

Submit claim certificates and measurement documents to clients in a timely manner

Monitor material usage to minimize wastage and control project expenditure

Assist with coordination and task execution on-site

Support the management and upkeep of subcontractor payroll software records
