About Us:
This vacancy is for our Valdezia/Mambedi Farm, in Makhado/Louis Trichardt Rural situated 21 km from Elim towards Levubu and 48 km from Louis Trichardt. Enviro-Agric is a forward-thinking organization with a growing portfolio in Environmental Education and Consulting as well as Agricultural Services, Education and Training, Pest Control and Fresh Produce production. We are seeking a Business Development Officer Intern to play a vital role in supporting our Marketing and Business Development functions. This internship is ideal for someone interested in the strategic side of business growth — particularly lead generation, tender preparation, bargaining and negotiation, cold emailing and calling and the use of digital tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Job Summary:
You will support our General Manager by leveraging efforts to improve our business development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Tendering Support:
Maintain and organize tender documentation using digital platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Google Workspace).
Assist in compiling, formatting, and automating submission-ready tender documents.
Track deadlines and submission statuses through project management tools.
Support the creation of a digital archive for past tenders, feedback, and award outcomes.
Business Development & Lead Generation:
Assist in identifying and researching potential clients, partners, and tender opportunities.
Help maintain and update the CRM system with accurate lead and client data.
Contribute to preparing professional business proposals, capability statements, and presentations.
Use project management tools to help track follow-ups, meeting schedules, and engagement timelines.
Support digital outreach efforts (email campaigns, LinkedIn messaging) to nurture new business leads.
Cold calling and emailing.
Technical & Admin Support:
Help streamline business processes through automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate).
Stay informed about digital tools that could enhance productivity and efficiency.
Provide general admin and coordination support as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong English command, Afrikaans is a plus.
Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel is a plus.
Familiarity with CRM systems, (e.g. Salesforce ), and basic data analysis.
Comfortable working with data, reports, and digital platforms.
Bonus: exposure to automation tools (e.g. Zapier, Power Automate) or system integrations.
Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Self-driven with a willingness to learn and contribute in a tech-forward business environment.
Currently studying or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Agriculture, or Business Administration.
Prior experience with business systems or tender processes is helpful but not required.
