Job Description
Engineering internship focused on designing and implementing a centralized, version-controlled database module package for LISNR’s global systems.
Your Role:
Key responsibilities include:
• Learning LISNR’s architecture and development practices.
• Proposing a technical solution to a current platform challenge.
• Implementing and testing the solution in a production-adjacent environment.
• Presenting completed work to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborating with teams to streamline development, reduce manual errors, and improve system resilience.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science or a related field (Junior, Senior, or Graduate level).
• Knowledge or course experience in Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Knowledge or course experience in Database Systems, with a focus on SQL and application integration.
• At least 1 year of Python experience, including object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with version control using Git (branching, merging, pull requests).
Preferred/Bonus Skills:
• Experience with SQLAlchemy or similar Python ORM frameworks.
• Exposure to asynchronous programming (e.g., async/await in Python).
• Prior experience contributing to or maintaining packages or shared codebases.
• Familiarity with software architecture design and writing technical documentation.
