Roles & Responsibilities

The Deputy Maintenance Manager supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities within the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. The Deputy Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance tasks while leading a team of skilled technicians and maintenance staff.

• Ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.

• Monitor and maintain equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and providing guidance and training as needed

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and work orders.

• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, or equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions as

necessary.

• Support the Maintenance Manager in planning and executing maintenance-related projects, such as equipment

installations, upgrades, or facility improvements

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other departments to ensure project timelines and budgets are met

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Any other language is added advantage

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
