Job Description
Responsibilities
Managing the company’s supplies, materials and products.
Overseeing supply chain processes, such as purchases, inventory, warehouse spaces and transportation services used.
Identifying ways to improve logistical operations.
Managing a product’s life cycle from onset to disposal.
Directing the allocation of materials, supplies, and products.
Developing business relationships with suppliers and clients.
Understanding clients’ needs and how to meet them.
Reviewing logistical functions and identifying areas for improvement.
Managing work schedules, overseeing stock control, and processing orders.
Planning future capacity requirements.
Working closely with all areas of the supply chain to ensure effective service delivery for production.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including receiving raw materials and dispatching finished goods.
Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Monitor transportation schedules and liaise with transporters and warehouse personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, such as delivery notes, waybills, invoices, and stock reports.
Work closely with production and procurement teams to align logistics with production schedules.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards during logistics operations.
Track shipments and resolve issues related to transportation delays or damages.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
Support audits by providing necessary logistics documentation and reports.
Requirements and skills
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2 - 4 years work experience.
Previous experience as a logistics or supply chain executive or in a similar field
Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
Working experience of relevant software
Strong communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills
