Location: Oniru, Lagos
Description:
To provide high-quality teaching and learning in accordance with the school's curriculum, values, and vision.
The teacher will foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of every child.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery
Prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum and Buttercups’ educational standards.
Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
Maintain lesson plans, schemes of work, and accurate records of pupil progress.
2. Classroom Management
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Establish clear classroom rules and routines that promote respect and discipline.
Monitor and manage student behavior in accordance with school policy.
3. Student Assessment & Development
Regularly assess pupils’ work and progress through observations, assignments, and tests.
Provide constructive feedback and communicate effectively with parents during report periods and parent-teacher meetings.
Identify and support pupils with learning difficulties or special educational needs in collaboration with the SEN team.
4. Professionalism & Team Collaboration
Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development sessions.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching strategies.
Uphold the values, dress code, and conduct expected of Buttercups staff.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
5. Child Protection & Welfare
Ensure the well-being of all students by following school safeguarding and child protection protocols.
Observe and report any signs of concern to the designated safeguarding lead.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant discipline.
TRCN certification or equivalent professional teaching qualification
Teaching experience in a structured primary school environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in the use of educational technology and digital teaching tools.
Passionate, patient, creative, and committed to child development.

Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and school initiatives.
High moral integrity and ability to serve as a positive role model for children.
