Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing plant and distribution process.
This person will ensure smooth and efficient production, inventory, procurement, and team coordination while maintaining our high standards of quality, speed, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight:
Supervise and coordinate the daily manufacturing operations.
Monitor raw material usage, minimize waste, and improve production efficiency.
Implement production schedules and ensure targets are met within budget and timelines.
Enforce quality control and hygiene standards on the factory floor.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management:
Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging items, and production tools.
Oversee stock levels, monitor movement, and ensure timely reordering.
Ensure finished products are properly stored and dispatched on time.
Team Supervision & Human Resources:
Lead and manage factory and warehouse staff with discipline, fairness, and motivation.
Schedule shifts, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
Train staff on SOPs, workplace safety, and production best practices.
Foster a sense of ownership and responsibility among team members.
Logistics & Distribution:
Coordinate product deliveries to customers and distributors.
Work with logistics partners to ensure timely and safe delivery.
Resolve supply chain issues quickly to avoid customer dissatisfaction.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
Ensure all operations comply with NAFDAC, health, and safety regulations.
Provide weekly reports on production, stock levels, staff performance, and challenges.
Monitor KPIs across production, delivery, and customer feedback.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing/FMCG company.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking abilities.
Working knowledge of inventory software or ERP systems is an advantage.
Practical understanding of safety, hygiene, and quality standards in food production.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
