Minimum Qualification and Experience

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of D+ (Plus) or its equivalent;

Clean driving license at least class D1, D2, and D3 and free from any endorsement;

Certificate of Good Conduct; and

Occupational trade Test III for drivers/Diploma in Motor Vehicle Systems.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

Competent in the operation of vehicles and to detect and report common fault;

He/she will be responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and carrying out minor repairs including oiling and greasing;

Maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned to him/her; and

Ensure the safety of the vehicle on and off the road.
