Job Description
Design, development and build of custom automated machinery and tooling. Industries served: Mining, military, nuclear, steel, consumer products, and automotive.
The successful candidate will possess first rate mechanical design and problem-solving skills. Our projects are challenging! The willingness to produce a quality product is a must.
Skills required:
- Proven ability to design with Solid Works. Must be well versed in all aspects including part creation, assemblies and drawings. Advanced skills such as configurations, weldments and hole tables is also required. Resourceful and able to find solutions to software issues.
- Stress analysis with both classical and FEA methods.
- Able to create designs that can be easily manufactured and serviced economically.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and also as part of a team.
- Ability to contribute in design review meetings.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
- Relevant experience 3-5 years.
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
Skills that would be a bonus:
- Control system design programming using industrial PLC's i.e. (AB, Omron, Proface).
- Machine shop experience i.e. proven ability to use a CNC machine tools (Lathe and mill) and hand tools.
- Robot programming and path teaching experience.
