Brampton Venture Zone by TMU is a purpose-driven, non-equity incubator that is dedicated to building and growing early stage, market-ready technology startups in Brampton. Launched in Fall of 2020, BVZ is a joint partnership between the City of Brampton and Toronto Metropolitan University. Our programming is sector-specific and we incubate technology startups operating in the Health & Wellness sector.

The Opportunity - BVZ Launch Program

Brampton Venture Zone welcomes MVP-ready founders from across Canada with an early stage Health & Wellness technology startup to be a part of our 4 month (April - July) hybrid incubator program. There is an opportunity to get early market validation and launch your business in the market. You could be a first time founder, a serial entrepreneur, a researcher or someone with multiple years of industry experience. This program is not for idea-stage startups. It’s built for founders who already have an MVP and are preparing for real market entry.

During the program, founders will have access to:

• Non-dilutive funding (no equity, no IP)
• Access to industry partners for early pilots and validation
• Networking and potential pilot opportunities with industry partners and executives within the Peel/ Brampton region
• Weekly workshops to learn the fundamentals of product, market, sales/marketing, finance and capital
• Monthly integrated mentorship with pre-vetted industry executives and experienced entrepreneurs
• Access to a growing and exclusive network of BVZ alumni founders
• Access to dedicated work space based out of the Brampton office for the duration of the program

Must Haves:

• Be a Healthtech and Wellness Founder
• Be 21 years of age or older (and not a current student)
• Have a legally incorporated business in Canada
• Have a working or demoable MVP (minimum viable product)
• Have some sort of market validation (Market research, LOI, Pilots, customers, investors)
• Have raised <$500K in funding

Founders should be able to dedicate a minimum of 3 hours/ week and have at least 1 full time co-founder start in the BVZ Launch program beginning April 2026.
