Job Description

About the Role

Our client is seeking an Intermediate Document Controller to support a major LNG expansion project in British Columbia. This Metro Vancouver–based role will work alongside project leadership, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams, to ensure project documentation is accurate, controlled, and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.

The position reports to the project Document Control Manager and will support document control activities across multiple systems. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming transmittals from internal teams and external contractors
  • Process document numbering and information requests
  • Upload, file, and maintain electronic project documentation, ensuring accurate metadata population
  • Assist with auditing and maintenance of project SharePoint technical libraries and internal discipline libraries
  • Support audits of project document deliverables
  • Assist with SharePoint onboarding and provide support to new contractors
  • Support reconciliation, audit cleanup, and ongoing maintenance of technical and internal libraries, ensuring correct metadata, revision control, and proper superseding/voiding of documents
  • Support the Project Document Control Manager in managing and maintaining the large file storage repository and corresponding placeholders in project SharePoint

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in document control, preferably within energy, infrastructure, engineering, or major project environments
  • Strong experience with document management systems (DMS), including Microsoft SharePoint, Bluebeam Studio, Aconex, Procore, and similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with engineering documents, workflows, and numbering systems
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Experience supporting multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a project team
  • Strong communication skills to support internal stakeholders and external contractors
