Target Compensation: $30 per hour.
Regular Work Hours: FULL TIME WORK HOURS – 7.25 work hours per day, not including unpaid 45 min lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (36.25 work hours per week).
Work Location: 100% onsite at Client's downtown Toronto office, walking distance from Union, GO and TTC stations.
Ergonomic Requirements: Position will require lifting of light to moderate objects (eg. boxes 10 - 25 lbs.), use of trolleys for transporting materials from a storage room adjacent to the package assembly area, and repetitive hand tasks including handling paper materials, inserting documents into plastic sleeves and envelopes.
Responsibilities Summary:
Will support the manual preparation and assembly of a high volume of packages for a public sector client. The role involves assisting with detail oriented administrative tasks to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to various public sector organizations.
- Manually assemble packages, ensuring accuracy in recipient names, titles, years of service, and overall presentation quality standards.
- Insert documents into plastic sleeves and envelopes, handle paper materials, labels, tape, envelopes and boxes, and perform repetitive hand tasks with care and accuracy.
- Manage multiple tasks and maintain organized workspaces while following established procedures for package assembly.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and materials to ensure sufficient stock levels and proactively notify ministry staff when replenishment is required.
- Lift and transport boxes (10–25 lbs.) and safely operate trolleys to move materials from storage to assembly area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals and support timely delivery of long-service packages to ministries.
- Demonstrate reliability and commitment to completing tasks within required timelines.
- Additional administrative responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Work Experience: At least 3-5 years of progressive work experience in office administration. Special events/conference support experience is an asset.
Technical and Language Skills Requirements:
- Ability to comfortably lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to comfortably lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong MSOffice, including Word, Excel and Outlook (will be tested).
- Strong accuracy, typing and data entry skills (will be tested).
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, including excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading and syntax, and polished, professional telephone manners.
