Supply Chain Internship

Leading medical distributor based in Rondebosch, Cape Town who supply medical equipment to hospitals, requires a recent Graduate (Logistics / Warehousing / Supply Chain qualification) to assist in the Warehouse and Customer Service Department for a 2 year internship. Training will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities

Matric is essential

Degree or 3 year Diploma is essential in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport or similar

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Good command of the English language and clear communication is essential

Training will be provided.

Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport due to late night traveling

Due to the operation, candidate needs to be able to work after hours, night shift, on call and for stock takes – this is not negotiable

Preference will be given to male candidates

ERP System experience an advantage

Preference will be given to candidates residing in close proximity to Rondebosch, Cape Town

Preference will be given to Non-Smokers

Good computer skills (i.e., MS Office package)

DUTIES

Receiving, packing, and sending of all required loan sets to branches and hospital cases.

Handle delivery/collection of loan sets and stock from customers, airport, and/or couriers when required.

Perform “On Call & Shift” duties i.e.: collection/receipting/delivery of stock/loan sets wherever and whenever necessary.

Checking all instruments for functionality to ensure good working order.

Preparation of appropriate documentation to accompany loan sets to/from customers.

Usages from loan sets are to be accurately recorded and then handed to the relevant department for processing.

Recording and notification of missing/broken instrumentation.

Follow up with hospital staff and sales representatives.

Regarding broken/missing instrumentation and stock.

Preparation for and participation in stock takes.

Weekly cycle counts.

Requisitioning of loan sets and implants and follow-up of flight details from other branches.

Assist with the accurate recording of bookings from customers when required.

Package & Remuneration

Monthly plus Basic, travel allow, cell allow, medical aid, shift allow
