MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using analytical and problem-solving skills

Install, modify, and upgrade mechanical components and systems as needed

Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment life and improve efficiency

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory

Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex mechanical issues

Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing tasks

Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and equipment breakdowns

Qualifications

degree in maintainence or Technical college certificate

2-3 years of experience as a mechanical technician or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience with preventive maintenance practices and procedures

Skilled in using various hand and power tools

Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery

Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in an industrial setting

Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation

Relevant technical certifications (e.g., HVAC, pneumatics, hydraulics) are a plus

Ability to work efficiently and organize tasks effectively

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls when necessary
