Job Description
The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships and ensuring brand visibility within assigned accounts. This role involves engaging with pharmacy partners, promoting LDB products and executing strategic sales initiatives to meet and exceed business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
Visit assigned customers to develop and expand LDB sales in line with the company’s commercial strategy.
Secure and process orders to achieve assigned sales targets.
Increase brand awareness, generate sales, and foster long-term partnerships.
Identify potential business opportunities and onboard new points of sale in alignment with LDB distribution guidelines.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key pharmacy partners to enhance collaboration and sales performance.
Work closely with the training and medical teams to improve brand knowledge and drive sellout.
Understand customer needs, anticipate challenges, and provide tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and brand loyalty.
Support pharmacy staff through product training, merchandising, and in-store brand activations.
Merchandising & Brand Representation:
Ensure proper brand expression and visibility in offline retail spaces.
Monitor product assortment to prevent stock outs and ensure all brand pillars and new product launches are well represented.
Utilize promotional materials (brochures, publications, etc.) to effectively present LDB products and services.
Highlight the brand’s added value by emphasizing consumer benefits.
Trade & Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute strategic trade plans with key pharmacy partners to drive growth and market penetration.
Create clear, measurable business plans with defined KPIs to track success.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer data to refine sales strategies and maximize ROI.
Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sales performance.
Reporting & Administration:
Plan and organize pharmacy visits for maximum efficiency and impact.
Prepare detailed qualitative and quantitative sales reports to track progress and inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field e.g. biological sciences, pharmacy, nursing, health sciences or a related field.
Prior experience in pharmaceutical sales within Nairobi desirable (at least 1 year)
Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong relationship-building skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify needs and provide appropriate solutions
Ability to provide clear insight and recommendation to management
