Job Description

About the internship

KultureKatta is a growing cultural startup on a mission to bring culture to your walkable neighborhood through small, intimate gatherings called kattas. These can be workshops, performances, talks, or experiences- hosted in cafes, homes, libraries, bookstores, schools, corporations, and even online. From music and dance to arts, crafts, heritage walks, and culinary experiences, we curate hands-on events that build community, spark curiosity, and nurture lifelong learning. We are building a pan-India network of hosts, participants, and venues, one katta at a time.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

A. Social media management:

1. Plan and schedule posts, reels, and stories across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

2. Design graphics (using Canva), edit reels (using CapCut or InShot).

3. Write captions and manage engagement (DMs, comments).

4. Share content in relevant groups, post-event updates, testimonials, and highlights.

B. Community management:

1. Help onboard Katta Bosses (event hosts), gather bios, assist in planning.

2. Coordinate with venue owners and visit event spaces.

3. Take venue photos/videos, update the shared calendar.

4. Maintain contact records and agreements.

5. Conduct recce visits with the founder or independently.

6. Expanding the community and reaching more people to get added to grow.

7. Support initiatives to grow, engage, and strengthen our community through outreach, events, and digital engagement.

C. Event coordination:

1. Register participants, manage walk-ins, and collect payments.

2. Ensure refreshments are distributed as per the package.

3. Take photos, videos, and live testimonials during events.

4. Coordinate group photos and post-event settlements with venues and hosts.

Sick & emergency leave policy:

1. Interns are allowed up to 2 paid sick or emergency leaves per month.

2. These may be last-minute, but the intern must inform the team as soon as possible via WhatsApp, email, or phone.

3. Leaves beyond 2 per month will be unpaid, unless it is a serious medical issue (exceptions may be made with documentation).

4. We believe in a supportive work environment where your health comes first, and you're encouraged to rest and recover without guilt.

Additional information:

Training will be provided. You'll work directly with the founder and learn the ropes of marketing, community building, and event operations. This is a high-responsibility, high-learning opportunity to grow within a creative, culture-driven startup.
