OVERVIEW

Durham College is seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Manager, International Recruitment to drive our international student enrolment initiatives. This pivotal role involves crafting and executing recruitment strategies in regional markets to meet and surpass enrolment targets. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Recruitment:

Identify and target key markets within assigned regions, employing sophisticated data analysis to align recruitment activities with potential student demand.

Plan and execute robust marketing campaigns and build a strong network of regional agents to effectively promote Durham College's programs internationally.

Lead recruitment events both in Canada and internationally, delivering persuasive presentations to maximize student applications and enrollment.

Enrollment Planning and Management:

Monitor the distribution of program seats for international students and manage the allocation of application spots in accordance with the College’s Enrolment Management Plan.

Develop and refine recruitment strategies based on real-time market data, focusing on attracting students from targeted countries.

Assist in developing strategic recruitment plans that integrate with Durham College’s broader Internationalization and Global Engagement (I&GE) Plan.

Provide expert advice on market trends and recruitment tactics to the Associate Director, International Recruitment and Admissions.

Operational and Administrative Leadership:

Analyze recruitment data to support strategic decisions, forecasting, and in-year recruitment adjustments.

Implement approved recruitment plans, ensuring they are in line with college policies and financial guidelines.

Participate in the annual planning and review of the department's multi-year strategic plans.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a representative of the International Education Office in various international and national forums to enhance DC's global presence.

Collaborate with international agencies, educational partners, and trade commissioners to refine recruitment strategies and expand Durham College's market reach.

International Admissions Support:

Facilitate international admissions information sessions and lead conversion initiatives to transform prospective inquiries into registered students.

Engage with prospective students and agents through digital and in-person platforms, ensuring a seamless information flow and enhancing the recruitment experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of a 3-year degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, International Relations, or a related field.
