General Accounting Supervisors (Start-up Shared Services) c/o JFI

Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure all tasks are assigned to staff and are completed timely and accurately.

Primary support for Stateside and GCC Accounting Managers and staff in month-end closes, account analysis, and validations - integrations, prior-period adjustments, intercompany eliminations.

Prepare, assist, and review complex non-routine journal entries.

Ensure balance sheet reconciling items are actively worked, documented, and resolved timely.

Lead research of system balancing issues to identify causes and system trends, collaborating with all stakeholders as necessary to achieve resolution.

Responsible for review of detail account analysis, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, account roll-forwards, budget vs. actual analysis, system balancing, and all other tasks required to close month-end on a timely basis and maintain G/L account integrity.

Establish and lead training plans for new and ongoing system functions, reviewing specifically assigned journal entries and account reconciliations, while ensuring the integrity of the data and that all policies and internal controls are being administered.

Must be able to demonstrate and communicate active knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in daily execution of accounting functions and tasks.

Take leadership role and host periodic meetings with team to explore process improvements, and implement policy/process changes and standardizations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or comparable discipline (required)

5 years of experience in a general accounting function (required)

3+ Previous leadership experience or managing teams (preferred) in a global shared service/BPO environment

CPA is a plus but not required

Process Improvement experience, required (lean, six sigma, agile)

Above average communication skills
