Description
Ensure pallets are properly secured on dollies at pushout.
Collect thermal blankets and pallet covers and ensure they are in the same condition and quantity.
Ensure pallet covers and thermal blankets are arranged in an orderly manner.
Escort deliveries to airside using a trailer or tractor and security escort vehicles.
Ensure the yard is always kept clean and tidy.
Receiving and distribution of airline equipment as per SOP.
Load and unload cargo and deliver goods while operating a forklift/tractor-trailer truck at the designated areas.
Fill up on fuel, clean vehicles & tractors and keep a log of their activities, and maintain logs of trips.
Fill out the daily vehicle checklist and report any defects effectively.
Ensure equipment is kept in good working order.
Adhere to all security, health, and safety SOPs as per company policy.
Ensure safe acceptance of cargo at GHAs, correct weighing, and storage accordingly into the cold store.
Ensure cool chain management is always adhered to.
Requirements
High safety standards during the machine’s operation.
Safe and timely collection, delivery, and transfer of cargo.
Transit sheds and airside regulations.
Timely ULD supply.
Handling of airline equipment (pallets, nets, etc.).
C in “O” Level (KCSE).
Holder of a valid driving license—Classes B, C1, C, CE & G.
Basic mechanical skills.
Further training on cargo handling operations will be an added advantage.
3-5 years of accident-free experience.
