Head of Programme

Job Summary

The Head of Programme at AYGF is responsible for the strategic leadership, implementation, and management of all programmes and projects within the organization.

This role ensures that all initiatives align with AYGF’s mission and objectives, meet donor requirements, and achieve impactful results for beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of AYGF’s programmes across various sectors (e.g., youth empowerment, education, health, livelihoods, migration, etc.).

Ensure all projects align with AYGF’s strategic goals and donor requirements.

Supervise and mentor programme staff, ensuring efficient performance and professional growth.

Develop and implement systems for monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) to measure programme impact.

Lead the design of new programmes and initiatives in line with AYGF’s vision.

Identify funding opportunities and support proposal writing to secure grants and partnerships.

Strengthen relationships with donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Coordinate with finance and operations teams to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, including NGOs, government agencies, and private sector entities.

Enhance AYGF’s visibility and influence within the development sector.

Qualifications & Experience

MSc. International Development, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.

At least 7 -10 years of experience in programme management within the NGO or development sector with strong leadership and team management skills.
