CSSD Helper

Full job description

Responsible for smooth and safe movement of instruments between CSSD and various departments in the hospital. He is responsible for helping with instruments reprocessing as per the instructions of a CSSD Technician. Actively contribute to developing and improving performance in CSSD services

Collects contaminated items in a closed puncture resistant container / Yellow biohazard plastic bag and transport by using the closed trolley.

Delivers sterile items in clean containers in a closed trolley.

Help the CSSD technician to segregate the used instruments from the transportation trolley.

Help the CSSD technician to arrange and prepare the sterile supply trolley as per the request.

Performs duties according to hospital policies and ministry of health regulations.

Performs duties within the scope of practice.

Maintenance of infection control principles in everyday practice.

Maintenance of a safe working environment.

Follows International Patient Safety goals.

Participate at unit meetings.

Reports any untoward incident or accident on the hospital premises involving a patient, visitor, or staff member.

Adherence to the dress code.

Attend annual Fire & Safety Training and Infection Control training.

Display and accomplish the required competency with a great deal of efficiency.

Learn/maintain a working knowledge of the Arabic language.

Good Body Image and Personal Hygiene.

Alert and Active, Physically Fit.
