Job Purpose
Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has opportunities for two (2) suitably qualified and competent individuals to render financial support services within the department.
Minimum Requirements
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as passed subjects.
Recommendation
Proven experience in MS Excel and MS Word.
Key Performance Areas
Manage Cash flow administration and Banking; Manage Ledger Accounts; Manage Claims.
Competencies
A good understanding of the following: financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics; Public Service financial legislations, procedures and processes, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999, (DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual); Financial operating systems; Database Management; Skills needed: Written and verbal communication; Proven computer literacy (MS Office); Planning and Organising; Record Keeping; Problem-solving; Interpersonal Relations; Decision making; Ability to work under pressure.
Remuneration
R 228 321– R 268 950 per annum (Salary level 5)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
